A new year, a fresh cup.

 

There is something special about the first cup of coffee in January. The air, renewed resolutions, and the smell of a good bica (Portuguese esspresso). To me it's the perfect time to sit back, relax, and set my north star for the year.

The Azores are always on my mind. Located in the middle of the Atlantic, these 9 small islands are the best display of nature for me. The rolling green hills, lush volcanic landscapes, and the Atlantic breeze reminds me that some things remain timeless even as our world, and those around us rapidly grow and evolve. 

The same can be said of Identity and Access Management, with new complexities, and new technology, in a way the fundamental goals remain the same; secure access, trust, and user experience. Passwordless access is a reality, AI is here, and making our access decisions smarter (although its also increasing risk), and IAM is seen as a strategic necessity for organizations. 

But before we dive into 2025 and its complexities. Sit back, relax wherever you are, and enjoy a good cup of coffee with me.
